Let’s be real here, 2020 will most likely be the most challenging year that most humans will ever face in their lives. However if you look at it from a dog’s perspective, 2020 will be the best year (or 7) that they will ever live. 

Multiple walks a day. Paw-rents always home. Endless tummy scratches. What’s not to love?

It’s crazy to think that spending so much time locked inside our houses, has caused most of us a lot of discomfort, however it’s a dream come true for our furry friends. Being completely present in our pets lives is not something that is usually possible, life gets in the way. Work, socialising, shopping and errands are all things that usually have to be done without the company of our pets, which usually means many hours of the day are spent apart. This is probably one of the only opportunities we will ever get to spend most of the hours in the day with our best friends. 

 Our lives in isolation are pretty similar to dogs, right? We nap most of the day, forget what day it is, and the thing we look forward to the most, is our daily walk. Now more than ever, it's apparent why leaving the house is beyond exciting for our pets!

Not only, has this been the best time of our dogs' lives, they've all also made a positive impact on our lives whilst doing so. I’m sure you can all agree with me, in saying that our dogs have kept the smallest amount of routine in our lives, that otherwise wouldn't have been there. They expect to be fed at the same time, be taken for a walk at the same time, and go to bed at the same time every night. The lack of routine is enough to send us all a little bit crazy, but like children, our dogs have ensured we also keep some structure. 

I don’t know about you, but I literally would have not survived isolation life without my furry best friend. The routine, and most importantly the company, has definitely kept me sane throughout this period.

If you don’t achieve any of the goals that you set out for isolation, have comfort knowing that you achieved something. You made your hound extremely happy, and you’ve probably become the dog parent you’ve always dreamed to be.

Home is the safest place to be right now, and that's exactly where we should be, home with our fur babies.
